And You Can't Get Enough Of It.

*hug* I stayed home because I'm just too lightheaded to be walking around right now. I hope the doctor's visit reveals what's wrong with me. Sigh.

I just dl'ed carmarthen's story to my Kindle SO HARD. I am so reading it while I am sitting in various waiting rooms all day.

Poor you, bb! I really hope your doctor has some answers.

It is SO GOOD. Her Esca is so prickly and mysterious, and I adore her Marcus and how he wears his heart on his sleeve.

I hope she has answers too, man. Sigh.

:( *snugs* I'm sorry you're feeling so awful, sweets. I hope you feel better soon.

Here:

"Captain," Matthias' voice cut into his investigation, and he looked over at the younger man. "I heard the laughter again. It's mermaids, captain, it has to be."

There was a murmur among the crew, but Thomas laughed, and Michael grinned slightly.

"A fairy tale," Michael said, ignoring Matthias' anguished face. "From horny sailors longing for companionship."

"I wouldn't be sure about that," James said, leaning against one of the masts. "I've heard stories about shipwrecks, about whole crews being consumed by the seas and ladies with tails edged like razors."

"You're dreaming," Michael said, smiling and looking out to the sea. "It's a queer night, to be sure, but there're no monsters to be found here. Though you wouldn't know it by the looks of some of you."
