Looking back on your apt hunting list entry - I'm pretty sure that the apt you listed that was at Grove and Mulberry for $545 is where I moved too. Yes, it is a shoebox but it's my shoebox. Not enough room to "party" in said shoebox.

Also, I am glad you didn't freeze to death.
As for the DNA testing, it's not a scam, per se, but it IS far less useful than they'd have you believe. For instance, they mapped my maternal line through my mitochondrial DNA- and the map covered half the globe. It revealed that I am, indeed, "European". I am ashamed of how much money I spent to find out that I am white. They do let you know if you could have a couple health risks, and that's interesting, except that I don't have any, so in retrospect it is also useless. :(
