It's actually less difficult than it looks. The statue itself is fairly easy: paint a dark metallic color and then drybrush over with a bronze.

Fire is relatively easy to paint, too. It usually looks more difficult than it is to do. If you want to do something that looks impressive, but isn't, find a good model with fire effects and work those with multiple colors.

The hard part of this one was figuring out how I wanted to do the reddish-orange reflections on the model, to make the fire look like it was reflecting off the idol. That wasn't technically demanding, but it was a new effect that I had to think about. It came out okay, but I'm not sure I like the horns.

It shipped with the gems for the eyes, which I thought was a nice touch.
