computer stroke...

I am not a happy camper today - my 5 mo old new computer had a stroke last night ...
and it cant find it's hard drives...

HP says I need to unplug the drive and plug it back in ... problem being it's one of those new
touch screens and I'm definately scared to take it apart....

but I don't want to lose my files - hmmm......

what would you do?
