Ron Paul: Rumors of my campaigns' death have been greatly exaggerated

Feb 09, 2008 17:24

A few news sources are misreporting Ron Paul’s e-mail from last night. The presidential campaign is not ending, not being suspended, and not even drawing down. It’s slimming down and ramping up - with over twenty states having already voted, we’ve shed staff, and we’re concentrating financial and organization resources on the remaining states. We’ ( Read more... )

Q:

What is Ron Paul's plan for dealing with people like me who can't get health care because of a pre-existing condition? I can't help how I was born, but people like me are denied insurance and therefore denied medical care. If something isn't done soon, something bad will probably happen to me. I was just wondering if Mr. Paul has any suggestions about that? I'd pretty much vote for anyone of any party who could say they were going to help me in that area. I really don't want to die.

Well, none of it really matters, since I can't vote for Ron Paul in the primary anyway (and frankly, I wouldn't), but I appreciate your well thought out answer to my question. :)

I do rather consider myself an exceedingly liberal Democrat leaning Socialist, haha.. so I'm sure our political differences are too huge a gap to be crossed.

What?! You're telling me you're not up for a good 'ol knock down drag out political fisticuffs like Katy and I had a few weeks back?

(I totally used a noun where a verb should be up there. Where's swos to correct me when I need him?)

If I may ask, is it just your liberal socialist aspect thats keeping you away from Paul? Further, how can we afford to be socialists anymore, when all anyone (still running dems and repubs, sans Paul) talks about is spend spend spend?

I know, thanks for clearing that up earlier. :)

I still think you and Jordan should accompany me to DC for the Revolution March in April. Then I'm thinking about doing the "in cities across the nation" one in Pittsburgh..if Morgantown doesn't have one.

Did you get a chance to see Ron Paul's speech at CPAC? He's an incredibly smart man. My admiration and respect grows for him every day.

Here's some videos for you Rob. :) I think you might enjoy.

It's funny, 99% of the links you send me I've already heard, read, or seen. I did hear his speech at CPAC. For anyone who does not know Paul, it is a great speech to introduce him, as he covers a good bit of what his platform is all about, focusing mainly on the economy (considering CPAC is very conservative, obviously)

Let me know the details of your plan for the March and I will work to coordinate going with you guys.

Sweet!!!

Ok, as soon as I get more information, I will let you know.

The one in DC is definitely in April. The ones across the nation are on April 15th...if Morgantown doesn't have one..Pittsburgh is..so that might be the one to go to, unless everyone wants to go to the DC one. I'm game for either of them. Actually, other countries are participating in this as well (the march on April 15th). Which..is actually pretty neat. :)
