It's funny hon, you sound so much like me in this post. Sometimes I take things so personally, even when I shouldn't. There are days that I even feel like my own brother doesn't want to hang out with me, and that's just ridiculous. But, I have my insecurities...and sometimes I can't stop that nagging feeling that I'm not liked by this person or that person, for whatever reason. Even if there IS no logical reason.
I feel you about Middle School and High School. Ugh...those were some shitty times. Middle school was mostly just a lot of getting back stabbed and trying SO very hard to "fit in". High school for me sounds a lot like it was for you. A lot of distrust, not wanting to get close etc...some of that stems from my mom dying when I was in the 10th grade, but I think more of it came from just not wanting to be shit on again. I still harbor a distrust about having women as friends as a result.
I'm glad you're feeling better. Always remember that you're always worth it. No matter what "it" may be.
High school was more of me re-learning how to trust people and an all girls high school helped that. Mostly because I found old friends from elementary school I hadn't seen in 6 years.
I could share the lovely stories, but I doubt anyone wants to read that much about my past. Needless to say the snooty rich kids of Baltimore County did not take kindly to a skinny girl from the city.
Sorry to hear about your mom. Wow. That's quite the blow, especially during high school.
We missed you last night in Underbog. I had to be the healer. Hoorah for feral healing!! YES! But we really do miss you and BT in the game. Lach is working away at picking up the pieces of our guild and seeing what we can salvage.
