Combination: if you want to know how much we interact off-screen, poke me and we'll figure something out.

Clothing/Appearance:

An average-height ten-year-old child, rather wiry and slim, with a shock-mass of auburn hair and a tiny, tiny pair of reading glasses generally perched on his nose. His vision is absolutely fine - indeed, often better than normal people thanks to the magical buffs he keeps giving himself - but he keeps wearing them because he thinks they make him look distinguished and respectable. One cheek has a rather impressive scar across it, just under the eye, given to him by Setsuna. (With a punch of all things...)

He has a collection of suits, some of which really are tweed, yes, to better look like a teacher and a Respectable Centre of Learning. When not toddling around in them, however, he's adopted a distinctly chinese style - breasted tunics and light trousers and slippered shoes. At all times, he's got a large ring on the ring finger of one hand, which is rather chunky and ostentatious. If he's out and about he may also have his staff, a six-foot-length of knobbly wood with a gnarl at the end that looks distinctly like a tree version of a targeting system or staffhead. It has the odd bandage wrapped around it and is very obviously not a magical staff rly.

If you're able to see magical flow, he positively glows with power, albeit power with this nasty little pulsey glow of dark right down there at the core.

Habits/Mannerisms/Body Language:

Negi is polite to a fault. To people he doesn't know he's reserved and the very picture of a nice little boy and will bow and thank them and introduce himself formally and basically be small and English at them with a distinct minimum of aside commentary or yelling spaz. Those are reserved for people he knows better, whereupon he'll loosen up and make mildly sarcastic (but never, ever mean) sideswipes and yell and pout and whine and do all those things that a ten year old is supposed to do. He'll never, ever attempt to get into your personal space, though, with one sole and solitary exception being Kotarou and the other more general exception being when people rape him into it. He is confused and stunned by touch as a rule, something you'd think he'd get over given how much people top him, and will respond to it with a kind of flustered detachment.

He's ten at heart, though, and generally expressive. He's kind of bipolar as regards his own self-confidence; he's very quick to um and ah and be uncertain of himself when talking about general topics and those topics revolving around him, but similarly quick to be absolutely crystal clear and definite as regards speaking about other people. When he's upset he'll show it and look just like a lost puppy, though he'll tend to get out of people's way first. When he's anxious or angry it'll be written plain on his face. He never exactly... laughs or grins, a whole lot. He sort of starts at smiley and drops down from there.

Current Residence:

The Newlywed Cabin, in the same room as Setsuna.

Typical Daily Routine:

Negi gets up at the crack of time-to-get-up, and probably by now at about the same time Setsuna does. They almost certainly train together somewhere out of the way before Kotarou, still sleepy, comes along to try to kick Negi's ass. (This is my headcanon, not theirs, but can't you just see it?) He doesn't typically eat breakfast, though he'll at least try to, and then it's onto the day's work.

Negi's default option is to hit up the library, and kind of do a real-life rendition of Wikisurfing, leaping from book to book with wild abandon. Recently, though, he's been trying to get out and about a bit more and will dutifully do a patrol of his student's adobes to check they're alright. (He's currently kind of steering clear of Chizuru... but not 100% of the time.) This will be done for the most part on staff-back, as he'll zip around camp much faster that way and can usually take a route that avoids most people, especially when heading out to see Haruna. More training, then he'll either go research camp with regards to finding a way out or else do something generally cerebral such as crosswords or poking around online. Right now, he's asked to help with the rebuilding of the treehouse and can sometimes be seen flying over it to check the structural integrity from above.

He's also practicing magic a lot closer to camp's centre than he was: he'd like to tell the others about his magic but it's harder to say than to do, as it were, so he's kind of hoping they trip over him.

Favorite Haunts:

Library, without question. Likely a common visitor at any castmates' house. Here and there in the camp forests.

Does he make his own bed?

Oh hell yes.
