I've found over the last several years that movies (new releases) interest me less and less. Television has been the same, I admit. There is less than a handful of shows that I have to watch. Less than that in movies each year

You're not missing anything with the new movies. Most of them just suck ass :p Two that I think are freaking awesome are the original Italian Job (starring Michael Caine, Noel Coward, et al), plus The Getaway and LeMans, both starring Steve McQueen. Oh, and Bullitt kicks ass as well. All of those films are nearly 40 years old, but still great :D
