Notice the evolution of remote controls. They have gone from few buttons, to buttons with shift keys, to too many buttons, to little screens with menus and now touch screens.
I think there is a similar sorting out going on with digital cameras. PC's just don't seem to inspire any innovation.
I could see extra buttons, my PC has five at the top which are supposed to launch popular applications, but they are poorly implemented. There is also a Windows button (twice) which only gets in the way.
Then there are the keys that no one hardly ever uses like print screen and break.
PC's are just not inspiring young developers I guess.
