Mom's Alzheimer’s

My mother was just taken to the hospital by the police in handcuff because she was treating us with a knife. She is now on the psychiatric ward at a local hospital. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s last year. I did not want to call the police, but I did not know what to do in this situation. I live with my dad and help him take care of my mom.

Sorry you have to deal with this. Alzhimers is always such a stressful disease to work with. If your dad isn't able to care for her, she might be better off in a proper care facility. Or, if your family can afford it, a live-in nurse might be in order.

I have an aunt who has a husband with it,he has had it almost 4 years now.
He has violent bouts where he threatened her and my cousin....
