Just stopping by to wish you and Kit well. How are you and xe doing with the whole parenthood thing? We have most of next week off if you guys want to catch up on some sleep or just relax for a bit. We would be happy to come over and sit watch for a bit. :-)

To be honest, the parenting thang is easier than I thought. Don't really mind the waking up a bunch in the middle of the night, or the getting various bodily fluids on me. Really, the only thing I actually mind is living in Naperville.

We appreciate the offer, but right now, unless yer lactating, there's not a helluva lot you could do. We figure that after the post-partum period (the first month, roughly), we'll be inviting people over to see her and maybe taking her out to thangs in the city. Until then, I think we'll mostly be settling down and getting used to each other. But thank you so much for sincerely offering yer support! I do appreciate it, and I'm sure we'll hit you up some time!

Hee, cheese sandwiches are such tricky things, though. I don't know how I'd ever manage one without instructions :)

I am pretty sure that a Salatblätter is a leaf of -- erm, well, salad! -- probably lettuce. One leaf per sandwich!

salat = salad. doy. thankee!
I scanned the recipe and automatically translated "Salsasoße" as "salsa-something." now that i look at it again, i realize it's prolly not salsa. any ideas? (And if you know what it is off the top of yer head, I'm gonna start calling you Goethe.)

it is salsa! salsa sauce.

er. but I didn't know it off the top of my head, so there is no need to call me Goethe :)
