I had some heavy blows and betrayals to recover from. It was a case of burnout, exactly like my art burnout and I recovered the same way. It just took a very long time this time, because writing was always central to my identity

Glad to hear you're back, and trying to create again. And glad you're with loving family members.

I don't know about the disabled bit, but I'm listening. I know society sometimes doesn't seem to regard disabled folks as the same. (I don't know if I'm saying it right.)

Fan fiction

I've done fan fiction way in the distant past, for free and just for fun. As part of a fandom I was involved in back in the 1980s. I found more good erotica written by amateurs than anything available in adult bookstores, that was part of it. The writers got imaginative and colorful, the characters were so different from their inspiration that seriously, all they had to do was change the name and most of it would be original fiction. Characters change with changing circumstances, put your 1960s cold war spies into an Arabian Nights world with different backstory and what you have is an Arabian Nights fairy tale that has the author imagining those actors in her parts
