I believe that the smallest change in the past can change everything in the future. If I were able to change something about my past, it would be waking up at the time I was going to the day my mother had a heart attack, so that I would have been with her and been able to help her so that she wouldn't have died. I was in the next room--the only other person in the house--and didn't have a clue as to what had happened until two hours after she had passed. It was just over a month ago, so I do believe that if I changed that, not very much else in my life would be different. Of course, then I would have probably never found out that the man I've always called Dad might not actually be my real father.

And I, too, know what it feels like to tell someone that you want a real relationship with them and have it blow up in your face. What a pain in the ass that is.

Life sucks.
