A really wet Sunday in Cardiff. Rain pouring down outside. Plus I've jarred my back somehow and it's rather painful - probably at rehearsal, as I was throwing myself about a lot (as it's a very physical part). Off to my parents' shortly though for a roast meal, so not all bad ( Read more... )

Oh no!, re: back problem thing. In May I threw the left side of my neck out. It's probably a muscle thing you have going on. Just give it some compresses, take pain killers, rest it, and it should hopefully go away after a while. My neck doesn't hurt anymore, thank goodness. I wish I could see you in your play! I was looking up some information on Cardiff yesterday in the bookstore and besides the Millenium Centre and all that, I would love to vist Cardiff Castle. It reminded me a lot of the Cathedral of Learning at my University. I'll have to make a post about that some day. Oh, and the image you posted says, "image not available", just so you know.

Many thanks for the back advice. I'll have to take it much easier at tomorrow night's rehearsal. :)

There's loads in and around Cardiff to see, not just in the Bay. Besides the castle there's the Museum of Welsh Life in St Fagans (where all the "Human Nature""/"Family of Blood" filming was done) and of course Castell Coch, a Victorian folly built on the site of a medieval castle just north of Cardiff, and where my brother got married:

Cardiff Castle is really impressive too, especially the old tunnels, which I remember running around as an eight year old.

Picture *should* be viewable now... :)
