why does everyone say merry christmas on facebook?

I don't really feel like writing right now; I have though, these past few days, but when I get that urge (ususally after watching SATC Season 4 right before i go to bed) i realize the wireless internet it turned off, and i'm just too lazy to get out of my comfortable slumber to turn it back on.  Yes, you read that right, WE HAVE WIRELESS INTERNET.
