Someone obviously said to someone "Go wild!". We should find the first one.
Red and black. Sure. However those wings look majorly unpractical. Like Nightwing's former suit with tassels and everything. And what on Earth did they do with Superman's logo?!?
Thank you. I love Tim to pieces and it's good to know he'll be around. A part of the Bat clan as well, I hope.
That said, I've been thinking about the solicit and now I'm wondering of War Games and Identity Crisis never happened. If Timmy STAYED in retirement after his dad found out and there was no Captain Boomerang.
I could see Timmy honouring his promise to his dad, and not being Robin, but still helping via computers.
I just can't over the BELLIGERENT POWERHOUSE THIEF part of the equation. Even if it didn't sound like Tim had never freakin' volunteered to become a Robin.
That this: "Tim Drake is forced to step out from behind his keyboard" doesn't fill me with confidence regarding Tim ever having been a Robin. It sounds like he wasn't in the superhero community until then.
Um, wow. I mean, glad my fears of them killing Tim are apparently unfounded, but.....wow. This almost makes it seem like Tim is coming to the Titans cold, never having been Robin, not knowing Bart or Cassie at all. And possibly not part of the Bat family.
I really don't know how I feel about this. I mean, I'll get the number #1 issue and see. No word on his solo title yet?
I think they said none of them have ever met before.
But I still think he's part of the Batfamily. He's Red Robin, all the bats are red and black, the other Robins are basically in place the way they were. And why would DC ever want to really erase somebody's connection to Batman?
I guess that if DC's willing to erase the history of Tim, Kon, Cassie, and Bart from YJ on in favor of a relaunch/reboot/whatever, I just don't have faith in them leaving Tim in the batfam. I'm cynical though.
To be honest, I generally expect the worst so that I can be surprised but hopefully not disappointed. I was really starting to think they were going to kill Tim (there is precedent for killing Robins) so at least having Tim around is a good start. :)
I was almost taking the taped on bit as he hadn't been officially sanctioned by Supes yet when the series starts.

I mean, he has a clear Bat mentality. The only one more 'bat' is the Batman!
