Challenge #43 - 2 challenges : 3 weeks
Hi everyone!
I'm guessing the low participation in the last few challenges is in part due to holidays, so here am I doing something different that hopefully will get a fuller voting post the next time ;)
What I have to offer you is a 2 challenges : 3 weeks thing, where (and I think the name says it all) you'll have 3 full weeks to complete 2 challenges.
You can do & post your icons when it's more comfortable to you during this period of time. Bookmark this entry so you don't forget to enter!
You don't have to enter both challenges if you don't want to.
Challenge A: Minor Characters
This challenge asks you to icon a minor character featured in any of the aired episodes. I just ask you to choose characters who had lines in the show.
Four example characters that you can use if you want:

Other characters that come to my mind this moment and are not pictured above: Alice, Little John's son, the Fool, King Richard, Will's brother and father, Davina…
The minor character has to be the focus of your icon, even if other "principal" characters are featured too.
I'm going to count Edward as a principal character, so he can't be the focus of your icons.
The rules are simple:
+ You can enter up to three icons (each icon from a different image is preferred, but not mandatory)
+ You can only use the images provided
+ LJ standards apply: max 100x100px, less than 40kb, .jpg, .png or .gif
+ Text, brushes, textures and stock images are allowed
+ Blending is allowed
+ The icons must be made for the challenge and kept anonymous until it ends
+ Comment to this post with your icon and the URL
+ Challenge ends on Saturday, 30th August, 8-10pm GMT
+ The special category will be Most Original.
Current no. of entries: 10, from 5 participants
Challenge B: Text-Only
This one is simple, and I'm certain most of you are familiar with the concept. Your icon can't picture any image from the show, just a quote from an episode. Stock images are allowed (within the limits of reason, focus must be on the text!).
Examples (from another fandom, but I hope they explain what I want better than I can do with words):

And, if you're looking for quotes, this might be just the perfect place to find them.
Rules are the same as for the for the above challenge. Ends on the 30th of August, and special category for this one is Best Use Of Text!
