no doubt if you've read anything in here for the last odd months, you will have known my computer was in the boneyard. well, thanks to a friend of my oldest, for 80 ducats, my computer has two new harddrives and works like a charm. (one of the hard drives is simply a back up. i mean for 30$, why not since i had it.) i am working again on one of two ( Read more... )

Hooray hooray!

When you finish the project I want to see it and read it.

I helped a friend move yesterday and she has the same packrat/concentration difficulty thing as I do. She moved from a dark lonesome basement apartment into a beautiful colorful sunny house with roommates and chickens and a dumbwaiter and wonderful energy in it. All these boxes of the worst clutter, stacked to the ceiling in her room. I hope to god she gets rid of it like she says she will. At any rate it was a huge wakening point for me because I've got boxes like that (although I irrationally believe my junk is worth saving). I left feeling very strongly that some serious banishing and clearing is needed on my end. Nothing like a mirror to put some conviction in you.

well, i lost the comment to you, i'll try to recapture it. first of all, please ignore all typos, i have the 'flu. dan took me to the ER last night to get me ccan anti-throw up shot. seventeen hours later i am not tip top, but i haven't thrown up again..

violette, there's junk and there's junk. Some junk makes yr house look homey-er and interesting to other people and then there's labeled cigarboxes filled with like junk neatly stacked on one's studio shelves and then there's that mish-mash of boxes in the corner of a room that you've kinda forgotten what's even in them...that's when you yard sale..and if you find old broken or bored with jewelry, mail it to me and i'll send money! i am short on collaged graphic novel stuff, just having several shows in a row.

GOOD LUCK WITH YR PROJECT. IF WE LIVED CLOSER...

Owe because you are such a bright light in my world!

I truly wish I had done extractions and plates instead of being talked into crowns and a porcelain bridge; then I could still pick up a trumpet and bend a "blue note" when words escape me! As it stands, enough pressure to "play" will discombobolate everything...

SCORE! (I hope) velvetviolette June 28 2007, 22:52:05 UTC
Found: wool tweed reversible(!) vest. Buttons and functional lined pockets on both sides. Gray heathered wool one side, gray and cream herringbone on the other. I tried it on, though, and it was a little tight over the bust - I'm 36 inches. Whattya think? I'd take a photo but I don't know how to upload them off my phone.

P.S. What's this I hear about starving?!

dear gorgeous, it'll fit! i have twelve year old breasts, but they is still perky. not really starving, i've had a bad molar for a month and couldn't get an appt for a month, and NOW it's OUT, and i can't eat nothin' but plain yogurt (my choice)for a few days until it heals up. so i lost some weight : how nice. you know when you take morphine, yr metabolism goes down and it gets hard to lose weight and last summer was the summer of ice cream, because for the first time in my life when i was having troubles, i ate instead of didn't eat and it was so hot i ate ice cream, which is a stupid thing to do. i am looking nice and womanly. at 52, one can't be too thin without looking scrawny like a meth addict, so no, i'm not starving, i'm slim and curvy and i like it. i'm just HUNGRY. also i have been making some nice ducats and spent them on expensive clothes which i felt i was finally entitled to after all these thrift store years, not to say i ain't above going to the thrift store which in fact i just did on my B-day and bought a beautiful ( ... )

Yay! Glad to hear it will (possibly) fit. I just hope it suits - you'll have to tell me if it works or not. Be brutal! I want to know exactly what kind of thing you're looking for.

Is your P.O.B. still 1085? If not, go ahead and email me. And this one's on me - late/early birthday present. I don't know when yours is.

Keeping an eye out for the brown one...

you are rather eerie miss velvet. my birthday was june 26. i just turned 52. and i actually can stand to lose a bit more weight, but like i said, it's hard. i still can't eat so this is good. the dentist hit my jawbone and all the first day andnight, clear fluid dripped from my nose, i told dan i was losing my brains in a very lady-like manner. i went to the ER the next morning and it was mayhem and we're a small town. the ER doc was an old room mate of dan's in SF late 60s so he just gave me a bottle of amoxicillian and said take these until monday but GO back to the dentist, they know more about this kind of stuff than we MDs do and i want this looked into. so now i'm eating yoghurt because you know what anti-biotics do ( ... )
