Wasn't the Pentagon a legitimate military target?I think we can debate and disagree over whether or not people killed in New York were 'innocent' or not, but no matter how you slice it, the Pentagon seems like a legitimate target for our enemies

* There is probably not any substantial amount of gold in Fort Knox
* Realistically, we really aren't living in a gold funded economy anymore. With global trade, our economy has become much more imaginary than that. The WTC detruction has done FAR more damage than the destruction of Fort Knox ever would, economically.
* The targets that were chosen were done so partialy because of their pure strategic worth, partially becuase of their psychological value. I think the WTC was and the Pentagon were much more valid targets than Fort. Knox. Fort Knox is a rural base, gold reserve not withstanding. If it were in the middle of a large city, I would think it a more likely target. Nto being so, however, I thin kit is probably safe.
