i will be leaving london in four weeks. i'm not really sure how i feel about that yet. i have seen, effectively, very little of the city, preferring to spend my time reading in my room, talking on skype, sleeping, and watching endless, endless hours of various things on my laptop. i am not sure how i actually feel about that, although i do know how

As I recall from my time in England, nigh on 16 years ago now, the national rail service itself was pretty good. Obviously it didn't have a website back then, but we used it to get everywhere from Land's End to the Scottish highlands. So... Go! Do! Enjoy!

I was awfully lonely at times when I was over there, myself, not least because Europe was not where I had expected to spend this particular spring break. I found that it was great to just wander around the city, because you can be faceless in a crowd. And when you're faceless, you're simply an observer, and needn't dwell on your own loneliness - and where better in the world to be an observer than London?
So really. Go, and soak up England, and enjoy yourself, because we're all - yes, all - still going to be here when you come back. I promise.
