Several Notes About Moving

I started moving my stuff into Collin's place this week. I still have at least a month on my lease at my apartment, so I'm doing the slow burn move. The kind where every time I go from my house to Collin's, I try to take a carload of stuff

Moving sucks ASS. I probably hate moving more than the average Joe because my fam moved so often during my childhood.

When I moved from Regent Square to Friendship in 2005, I was doing a lot of it car by car, like you're doing. Joe and I had started dating in March, and I took full advantage after he claimed to love carrying things. He still sometimes makes that same declaration to this day.

I knew if he could stay with me after being forced to carry armfuls of random crap that were simply not packed into boxes (a lamp, two pairs of shoes, a computer keyboard, and a few books would be a good example), then he was a keeper.

I have also not been packing everything in boxes! And I haven't been closing any boxes with tape, mostly because I don't have any. I stopped in a UHaul store the other day, and it was a madhouse, and they didn't have any newsprint left (which is what I really was there for), so I didn't stay there long enough to think, "gee, I really ought to have packing tape if I'm going to pack a gazillionty boxes.
