How long do you take to "get over" someone? One young friend gives himself three days. Another took about a year. One woman apparently never got over her husband who left her. How does one go about getting over another, or a relationship

if you mean "stop wanting that person back" by "get over", then you get over that someone when you can truly just want them to be happy, even if it's without you.

the longer it takes someone, the more "selfish" that person is.

this is what i think, anyway.

but if you mean "get over" as in no longer miss that person, etc, then, i dunno... depends on the sentimentality of your heart, i guess?
