When a witness or interviewee just refuses to give a yes or no answer to a straightforward yes or no question, it means they are hiding something.

18 years in the law business has taught me a thing or two about spotting liars.

The reason she was so determined to not get pinned down by giving a yes or no answer is she feared having to answer a follow up question.

I've seen liars and phonies do this many a time. It is really the phony experts, more so than outright liars, who do this. They try to keep you stuck on the same question all day, by never giving a straight answer, because they fear they won't be able to answer follow up questions.

Real experts are not afraid to answer a question.

Palin knows nothing about these subject matters. She's just going off of a script that she learned from her recent crash course and tutoring in international affairs. So she is desperate not to get drawn into a Q&A session that is going to go beyond her script.

As Nigel Tuffnail of Spinaltap would say, "what's wrong with sexy? I like sexy."

Oh, dear GOD.

Also, your commentary is made of win.

Google is your friend. That's not to say "WIN" doesn't stand for something to someone out there; who knows? But in this case, a cigar is just a (non-grammatical) cigar.

Wow, so you liked my comment? thank you. I still don't grasp win that much, but it appears to be a compliment.

I'm so used to people incessantly flamming each other on other internet sites (that will go unmentioned) that I have been conditioned to react to any use of any internet abbreviation as an insult or flamming. It may take me some time to unlearn that conditioning.

Anyhow, my sister's critique of Palin's interview nails it. My comments are redudant to hers.

*dies laughing*

Seriously, I know this woman watches Family Guy, she has to. She saw the episode where Lois runs for mayor and how she kept repeating the words 9/11 and terrorists and that's how she won. It was hilarious on the cartoon, scary in real life. I'm shocked that the nominees are anywhere close to tied. What the hell people? I saw some people in a nice big SUV the other day, I cussed them out when they were blocking the entire entrance to a parking lot, saw their "Go McCain!" writing on their window, and just wanted to hurt them. Badly... So I flipped them off instead.

That would probably get you shot here in Texas...

but I know what you mean.

I haven't noticed a fraction of the McCain bumperstickers compared to the W bumperstickers of the past 8 years...I wonder if that will change now with Palin...

I am clinging to the hope that as she becomes less and less able to avoid interviews, all but the most feeble minded twits will say, "well, I didn't know anything about her but now that I do, I'm thinking, not so much for the Palin, no." ~ that is my fervent hope, and if I am wrong about that, I'll be giving up completely on America. Or 49% of it anyway. ~ because that's probably, if McCain wins, what he will win it with. I'm totally expecting them to try to pull election stealing in Ohio again...they are so brazen anymore they are like the thieves who just walk out of stores holding merchandise right there in their arms.

I'm surprised to say that I think I've only seen that one McCain supporter, here in the state he's a senator in (as opposed to like, every other car having an Obama sticker). I think that this place is a lot more liberal than I originally thought (of course not nearly as liberal as CA or OR, where I've lived before, I swear they're closet liberals here), which I'm still pretty surprised about.

I heard in the "purple states" McCain is sending out absentee voting ballots but with the wrong address to send them to or things like that, to where they'll never get counted. I mean, I heard that on some progressive talk station, so who knows, but it does seem a little fishy. I wouldn't be surprised at all. (is this what election stealing is? I try to be all educated, but miss things sometimes :)).

"I believe that what President Bush has attempted to do is...rid this world of Islamic extremism, terrorists who are hell bent on destroying our nation (copyright 2008 SarahPalin LLC), there have been blunders along the way though, there have been mistakes made - and with new leadership - and that's the beauty of American Elections of course and democracy, (cue up the stock video of flags, amber waves of grain, and the soft strains of the national anthem in background) is with new leadership comes opportunity to do things better. (enter kitties and puppies and Jesus.)"

Okay you missed a couple things in this, where are the special needs children, and the beloved sons going off to war on 9/11????
