So, with my birthday money, I got a speaker dock for my mp3 player. I got it at Target and it's a Memorex.

Then of course my Zen immediately developed Alzheimers and the screen doesn't light up anymore. Everything else works but if you want to do anything other than just forward to the next song, rather than navigate, well, no such luck.

So have to ( Read more... )

Only think I could say about best buy is that if you got the protection plan and the clip did break it would be covered under the black tie replacement plan. It would be considered normal wear and tear. I don't know about that best buy but I know not allll best buys are bad :(

Ours is pretty bad. There's a reason I've sworn not to buy anything from them. You probably don't want me to go into it though, lol. Major ineptness and dishonesty; the dishonesty part really pissed me off, and they get no more chances from me, not in this town anyway.

One of the issues I have with their warranties, is that to get one that's worth anything, you have to pay so much that it's almost not worth it. This little sansadisk was barely 40 dollars. I find that warranties on small ticket items are such a high percentage of the replacement cost that they really are just hardly worth it. Big ticket items tend to be a better deal.

I might look into Best Buy online next time, possibly. I have heard a lot of people say, though, that they've had a lot of problem with Best Buy finding excuses not to honor the warranty after they've paid for it. Do you know anything about that?

hmm no. The only think I can think of is that the customer thought it fit but it didn't. I know in the past they had issues but theres a new system out. It changed about a few months ago. So now its a bit different. So like camera's and mp3 players have accidental damage. Computers do to if you get the accidental plan. I think there was some confusion before. I know with phones you can pretty much destroy it as long as you bring in the pieces your fine. But running over your camera is not accidental but neglect. (this is a reason we get from customers). I know in the past they had issues with returns too but Best buy switched over systems on how they're supposed to respond to the customers as well as deal with returns and warranty stuff. And this was all done recently like few months ( ... )
