Oh the park is awful .. You should see it! There are so many trees down, I bet you could walk from one side of the river to the other..I was in our laundry room working and it got deathly quiet, and I looked and trees started swaying .. I looked further and there was a piece of metal roofing from God knows where flying right at me, so I took of running to the hallway, haha .. I was so scared being here alone! It's so horrible .. Such a mess .. We were very lucky! I'm glad your mama is okay! I was worried to death about mine, she was out right in the middle of everything..It took her over an hour to get home from allen's!

My mom lives up right by the museum. We had to park at the Wachovia and walk up to her house and there were trees everywhere...all the roads were blocked and trees are uprooted. Her neighbor that she shares a yard with lost their entire roof. Across the street there are houses just completely leveled. It's really sad!

That's horrible .. Mom said that's where it seemed to be the worst. Someone had told her that the greenbelt was basically destroyed. It's crazy to see huge pine trees that you've seen standing since you were a kid just brought up by the roots and laying beside the road .. I forgot how scared I was of these things..My crazy dad stood on their back porch and watched it go down the riverbanks .. I would have been scared to death!
