My brother's Godmother, Shirley Storoe, passed away this weekend. She had ill from complications following heart surgery a few months ago. Her husband Glen, passed away a couple of years ago. Glen was a cousin of some sort on my mother's side which made Shirley some sort of relative by marriage. We always just called them "Uncle Glen and Aunt ( Read more... )

I am sorry for your loss, but glad you are continuing some of her traditions in your family. I think that is awesome, and I don't think there is anything that can make her happier where she is right now than to see you doing that.

I'm so glad to hear I'm not the only one who plans "menus" in advance and bases my grocery shopping on them! Paul and his mom tease me for doing this, but it really helps cut down on guess work when I'm grocery shopping. Time is a hot commodity in my life, so I can't waste it!
