I really hate Flyer fans, but at least they know how to boo properly* when it's called for. Buddy of mine has Bruins season tickets. Every year, for one reason or another, he misses the Rangers visit to town--Rev playoffs, work, whatever. This year, though, this year for sure he knew he could make it.

Turns out it's right about the time his wife is due to deliver their first child.

There is no one in federal government or the financial industry who is blameless. The Wachovia Center is in a hardcore blue city. A Democrat probably wouldn't get booed there. Unless s/he was dressed as Santa. Also, the "Democratic Congress" has a few Republicans in it. Also, contrary to what you might believe, I'm not actually a Democrat, and outside of my mancrushes on Obama, Schumer and Weiner (now there is a set up if there ever was one) I don't feel any particular need to defend any politician, whatever way they sway. Nor attack, really, except Sarah Palin (and some NY State Senators, like Joe Bruno -- who can even attack Bush anymore? He looks so beaten). Aside from the occasional "McCain is old" joke (which is really more of an anti-Palin thing than an anti-McCain thing) I haven't really said much about him. He just better never make hockey look bad, or say "fuck Arsenal" or "Ingmar Bergman was a cunt".
