I'm sure everyone knows it at this point, but Michael Jackson passed away this afternoon. I heard about it almost as soon as it happened, but have been out all day and unable to write. I sympathized for him because it reminded me of my 2nd grade teacher, Mr. Ware, who went through the same crap involving child molestation. I KNEW him personally, he was my at-home teacher and I stayed the night with him and many other friends numerous times. It's the same story... he was pure, innocent, and child-minded enough to not realize the consequences to befriending his students so closely. I defended him in court, and it lost me a lot of friends and respect, I was looked at like a freak. Now Mr. Ware is living the kind of life that Michael lived, despite his innocent verdict, he's a complete recluse and I haven't spoken to him in years and years. :/
