I think this season has been tough on everyone, we're shipping at +15 and have been pulling 40+ hour work weeks for 2 weeks. Just thank god it's over, this season is going to try all of us!

We actually made weight this year (or close to it - we'll be over by 1-2 lbs, if anything). Since I mentor the team for a class (a 1 credit class, ha, so I really only "have" to put in 40 hours each SEMESTER) I've had to track my hours ... 187 since Jan. 7. And there's still so much to do! Last spring, I was at 400something ... crazy.

FIRST alone isn't killing me this year, it's FIRST + school + work + trying to have some semblance of a social life (it's not really working, but I like to pretend). I'm just gald we're finished.

Are you going ot be at Milwaukee this year? =)

1902 finished last week, but 1390 has been sooooo far behind. I've pulled 4 all nighters this week (and they're also an hour away, the drives home have been near-deadly) and we still have a ton to do in those fix it windows before the event.

As for the Jake story, I agree with the other comment: AWWWWW :D Lol, it's so awesome for you! :) I like Jake, he's a keeper.

Yuck!!! I still have lots to do before our first competition (March 8-11) ... mostly team spirit stuff, picking up/handing out shirts, finalizing travel plans, etc.

I like Jake too, and I do plan on keeping him! At least long enough so we can come visit you in Florida next spring! ;-)

Only 15 hours? Amateur ;)

I slept in the shop Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Been working 60-70+ hour weeks since week 2...almost burned out from it, too.

We have enough mentors that I didn't have to do that this year (luckily!) but between work, school, and FIRST, I'm close to burning out myself!

I was up from 9 am Monday until 12 am Wednesday, though, getting schoolwork done/robot shipped/etc. And I only took one 1 hour nap! =P

Yeah, we've basically only got two mentors who are always there, plus a teacher who's there a good amount. It's pretty rough.
