Character: Dio
Series:
Casshern SinsCharacter Age: Appears 18-19
Canon: After the End of the World, both humans and robots alike are suffering from the ruin, faced with one single truth: they can't escape death in the middle of their decaying, lifeless world. The one responsible of said ruin seems to be a robot called Casshern, who has amnesia. Thus Casshern sets out in a journey to discover the truth behind everything (even himself), and also a way to save everyone.
Created around the same time, Dio is almost entirely like Casshern physically. But these similarities have led to Dio becoming obsessed with defeating him after realizing Casshern would always be ahead of him. To the point that that mission alone became his one and only motivation for centuries. Dio has even gone so far as to kill those who confuse him with Casshern due to their likeness. Despite being driven by anger, Dio is a mostly collected, harsh, blunt, and sometimes quiet individual to others. Yet, he is also very obsessive and possessive of Casshern. After all, as far as Dio is concerned, he is the only one allowed to defeat him.
Note: Casshern is mentioned with permission from the player.

To think there was still a place without signs of the ruin. It's somewhat surprising.
Leaving that irrelevant point aside; it's just a pathetic little human town. It reeks of death and despair almost everywhere I go, but it's different from the ruin itself. It's probably the doing of you humans that there is something off about this whole place. Starting from the lack of robots in sight. There's not even a sign of those who often ally at the side of humans, which I find terribly suspicious. Perhaps this is a ridiculous attempt at rebellion? What for? There is no gain in fighting a war you've already lost, and the ruin will reach everyone sooner or later unless you seek salvation. This pathetic attempt won't get any of you very far, not with the conditions you're currently living in. You humans are more dead than alive. In fact, you're better off dead. Are you truly that content to accept that fate? You can barely maintain the limbs attached to your bodies, even the youngest ones of your kind are missing an eye or agonizing without legs. What kind of disgusting way of decaying is this? Just mumbling away about "brains," as if getting one could possibly help with anything.
This is starting to get irritating. The more I think about it the more I find this place nothing but bizarre. This is just a town trapped in the past with pathetic, decaying humans who can't even speak more than one word. What a sad joke. Exploring the deplorable state of this town won't help me find Casshern any faster, nor is it something I particularly care about. However, it would explain why you humans ended up the way you are now. Trees growing strange underwear, radioactive water flooding the lake, and even showers with blood instead of regular water? What strange and useless human customs.
All of this should be pitiful enough, but you have found ways to defile the few things in the place that might have been impressive; like the plant and animal life which seems so common to find here. It's certainly not the first time I've seen animals, but it is the first in a long while. However, their behavior is almost as mindless and strange as all the humans I have found here. Purple gorillas in charge of leading around a flock of . . . What are they, cowbots? You humans are really despicable, if it's not robots it is animals, isn't it? I've even seen plants mutated to produce moving tentacles here. How many species have been altered by now, I wonder. Perhaps it's a fixation? It is sickening. You have even trained the birds of this area to sing whatever you want. Why are they so fascinated with every breath I take, every move I make? Is there even a point to any of it? No wonder you're all rotting down so fast without the influence of the ruin. Remember this: I have no desire to be observed by anyone but Casshern. He is the one I must defeat!
But don't worry, I still have time to end your suffering.
