[RL with Vincent: Catching Up]

Apr 21, 2008 22:55

It was a simple matter to cancel the meeting he had planned for later on-- and to be honest, Reeve suspected that the other executives were glad for the break as well. It had been too long since he'd last seen Vincent, really, and he was all too eager for the chance to catch up and find out just what his friend had been up to in the time he'd been ( Read more... )

He had only been to this building a few times before, but he still had a clear image in his head of exactly where Reeve was located. Not to mention that the middle-aged man seem to enjoy providing him with maps at any given occasion.

Cloak swishing behind him, Vincent made his way though the halls, ignoring the stares from people who may or may not have recognized him from the war with Deepground. Finally he reached his destination, and reached out his right hand to knock.

At the knock on his door, Reeve sat up (he'd been leaning back in his chair; rather undignified, yes, but who was here to see him right now?) and called, "It's unlocked, come in."

And what perfect timing; the coffee had just finished brewing. He stopped by the coffeemaker on his way over to the door and switched it off, hoping that he'd remembered correctly which type of coffee Vincent preferred.

Twisting the doorknob, Vincent opened the door quietly and took a quick look around the room. It was organized for the most part, although he had definitely seen cleaner desks in the past. Then again, it almost reminded him of the room he was given back when he was a Turk...

Finally his crimson eyes rested on Reeve, and he nodded in greeting before closing the door behind him. "Good to see you again, Reeve."

Little did Vincent know that Reeve's office was only organized because he'd had visitors earlier; its normal state was not unlike the aftermath of a hurricane. Reeve thrived on 'creative chaos' and his office reflected this most of the time, which was why he so rarely allowed others in.

"It's good to see you too, Vincent," replied Reeve with a warm smile, debating on whether or not Vincent would be upset if he tried to hug him. He HAD been quite worried about his friend, after all. Still, he knew that Vincent wasn't much for physical contact and he didn't want to risk doing something that might have made him uneasy.
