So much sorrow. Yet still beautiful. I like that it's a jumble of short scenes - I think the distance that that creates makes the whole thing even more sad.

Thank-you! One of the things I love about Merlin is the ability to be vaguely historical in fandom. I think the series tries a lot for drama, but tends to hit 'silly' more often instead- I'm not complaining, it's good for a laugh.

Yeah. People tend to enter fandoms looking for something 'more' and this is an aspect to which Merlin fic really delivers. There's such a wealth of history and material supporting Arthurian legend that the series itself only brushes against.
