Mrs. Wischmann was a dirty bitch. Do you remember the check system? If your name was on the board, you had no recess for that day. For more than one day without recess, you would put the corresponding number of checks next to your name. At my peak, I had 25 checks next to my name. I had all of 8 days with recess throughout all of 4th grade.
