1. Someone asked me the same question as to why I like math, so I'm just going to quote myself: Math to me is more than just the manipulation of numbers. Mathematics is a language that can be used to represent almost anything in the universe. In this sense, math is very beautiful to me. For me, math is also a philosophy, to an extent. I wasn't always this intent on being a math teacher, but I've always been good at math. My high school calculus teacher really showed me how truly amazing and beautiful math can be, and that is something I hope to do for someone else some day. Basically, there are many reasons, and none of them are really that simple.

3. I like the quadratic formula....I guess. I'm more a fan of concepts than formulas. I would much rather teach someone how to derive the QF than just give them the formula and tell them to plug and chug with numbers.
1. Very much so; more than anyone can ever know but me.
2. Having to stand up for my mother against my father. Having to make it through my grandfather's funeral.
3. My best friend from middle school, Ryan, started learning. I would pick up little things from him; I would always play his guitar when I went to hang out with him. I didn't become really interested by it until he quite his lessons and sold his guitar to me. That's when I really became a student of music.
1. how do you think it occured that you and i became so alike? 2. which do you prefer, the matt and david in a large group of people, or the matt and david alone (and i dont mean drunken kissing alone, but just you and i chillin and killin or driving back from practice alone)? 3. if you could sit down for a meal with any individual ever to exist....whom would it be, what would you eat, and what would you discuss?
1. I think the fact that we're so close and hang out so much had a lot to do with it. Quite simply, I think that we just rub off on each other.
2. Dang. Tough choice....Honestly, I'm not sure that I can choose one over the other. I think that both have pros and cons, but I don't think that either has any great advantage over the other. More than having to choose one over the other, we should let them both exist (as we currently do), so that we get the best of both worlds. If that makes any sense...
3. Either: Rivers Cuomo, macaroni and cheese, how much his music has affected my life; or: Natalie Portman, who cares, after-dinner boning
This has nothing to do with the 3 question bullshit, but Thanksgiving 2006......a little movie called Transformers written directed by ther guy that did Armageddon and exec produced by Spieldberg. Thought you might want to know if you didnt already.
