i haven't even looked at livejournal in a week. i kinda glanced at myspace once or twice...that's about it.
i'd like to tell you its because i've been crazy busy...but for the most part thats not true.

I freaking haaaaaate makeover shows.
Most of them are so mean-spirited, shallow, transparently part of the push to make sure people want to go out and spend LOTS more than they should every three months.
...and on top of all this, half the time, if you can see past the "it looks good to me because it's popular right now" effect, a large chunk of the people performing the makeovers look like fashion assholes themselves, lol.
"a dude wearing tons of foundation and mascara!" haha, totally!
I would prefer they just offer friendly tips and reasonable makeovers without grasping blindly at whatever will cause the biggest shock (shave off the beard/ dye the hair red/ cut off 12 inches) AND without completely trashing the victim's self-esteem first. It's like they don't care about anything but getting the person to cry with shock and relief at the end of the show!
