I just posted this in liberal. It is my attempt to dissuade those who fight the anti-gay agenda from resorting to what I call 'the genetic argument.' I know that some of you, my friends, have used this argument (as I myself have also done); and I wanted to try to point out what I think are some of its damning flaws ( Read more... )

Thanks! And yeah totally. I mean, if I were anti-gay, I wouldn't be swayed by the genetic argument, for that very reason.

Thanks Pole!

Exactly! In arguments in the past, I've suggested to the bigot I argued with that, okay fine, let's say that marriage is between a man and a woman, and then let's also have an institution of smarriage, so that two fellas or ladies can get smarried and SHARE A GODDAMNED HEALTH PLAN FOR CHRISSAKES! Along with all the other benefits that are have absolutely not a single damned thing to do with religion. Geezus.

Your status has hereby been elevated to "my hero".

Should you make an equally convincing argument against the existence
of absolute homosexuality (as well as absolute heterosexuality),
your status will be further elevated to "my deity" ;-)

I'll work on becoming your deity--although you'll regret making that promise when you see the kind of fucked-up rituals I require!
