I put a staple into my thumb, all the way in to the muscley-bits in the palm of my hand. I did it at work! Workmen's Comp! Sweet dude! Er... I feel like a jackass and my hand aches. I looked at it for a little while before I pulled it out. It bled a bit more than I expected when I pried it out with the nail of my right thumb. I now look like
