Just got a call from My Soldier's Mom. (Ok, I'll share--Our Josh's Mom.) He's safely back in Alaska! I have a phone number for him that should work through Monday, post if you need it. Apparently they don't have enough space on base for returning soldiers, so he and a couple of guys are sharing a room in a hotel. He hasn't got the intarweb yet

Yays! I miss you too. I was thinking about you just this week. I don't have the intarwebs so I don't get to keep up with you often. Poop.

I like that word, Poop! There's a kiosk in the mall selling tee-shirts that say "Poop."! It's all very exciting. Above I mean it in a bummed out, I miss you and you should come snuggle me kind of way, but sometimes it's just fun to shout in a happy (if a little juvenile) sort of way.

I talked to him briefly on the phone last night, but didn't have much to say aside from making hopeful plans to visit him in several months and a "I'm so glad you're safe and alive um-well-bye, er, goodnight" sort of thing. I'm bad at talking on the phone. Plus he makes me feel retarded even when we're not on the phone, not on purpose, but in a not knowing what to say sort of way. We're awkward.

Aw. That's cute. I'm like that with some people and on one level it's devastatingly embarrassing, but then again it's kind of exciting, in a strange sort of way. If you know what I mean.
