Deadlines

Let's see, I have two short stories (with a third looming ahead).  One, a contemporary fantasy, that needs shaping, and this one I was going to send to the Shelia Williams workshop, but it's not science fiction.  Two, is science fiction and this one I didn't think would take me this long to write.    Probably over thinking it and it must go out in

I'm sweating the Lincoln City workshop deadline as well. My first story careened out of control and now needs some brutal cutting. And I have to mail it Friday morning.

As for that next story: Far Future or Space Opera? Sheesh - two of my worst SF subjects...

Hello, yeff!

I wrote a lot of extra words on mine just to discover the shape of the story. Much work to do on it.

Not that we're suppose to be talking about our stories, but I'm not too keen either on Far Future and Space Opera. However, I do like time travel and I think I can combine that with Far Future. :-)

Yeah, I think I've found a slant on Space Opera that could be fun. I'm resurrecting an old idea I explored a while back that never went anywhere at the time.

And we're not talking about our stories in particular. We're talking about the general assignment. Really, we are :-) Not like Dean, Kristine, or Sheila are going to check out our LJs any time soon.

Back to writing for me! Much to be done before Friday.
