At three points in our lives, J.C. and I have felt the need to do this as well--to just pick up and go live someplace else.
I think it is good for our souls to go and see someplace new and live there for a period of years . . . just to really get to know it.
When J.C. and I met in 1985, we lived in Everett, Washington for just a few years together, then we took off for a quirky little college town in northern Idaho--and we stayed for nine years. We loved it there.
In 1997, we got itchy feet, loaded up a U-Haul, and moved to Colorado. We loved it there too.
In 2007, we got itchy feet again, and make the trek to Oregon!
There are good things and bad things about doing this . . . but at least life never gets boring (smiles). Do keep us all posted!
