We left El Paso last night at 7pm. After 989.9 miles, we are home. On the drive, we got a message that he was completely off of the respirator and able to say a few words. I have a stand-by plane ticket and will be back soon to start a new path for us all.

Theme
I have a suspicion that it won't be earthquakes that does California in. If you haven't heard, much of Santa Barbara is under mandatory and voluntary evacuation because of their THIRD devastating fire in the last year. Seriously, Google Gap Fire, Tea Fire, and Jesusita Fire.
Or, maybe earthquakes will be our demise. A 4.2 just hit Ventura County.
