Really, really interesting! Do you find that Thai MEN are as keen to marry White Foreigners as well?

It's not something I've encountered. I know of a few girls who have Thai boyfriends, but it's definitely not the norm, whereas almost all of my male co-workers have Thai girlfriends or wives.

Oh, but I do see white guys (old and young) with Thai boyfriends on occasion. I guess that might be an exception. So maybe it's just an availability thing...?

Hearing about race in other countries is always so interesting for me. The fact that being half-white or marrying a white guy is seen as a good thing when the whites in the area are often, well... gross, while educated, sophisticated black people are shunned is so odd! I guess that's why so many of those grody old white dudes go to such places, though. Blech!

It's really fascinating! Especially since it's not really something I would see at home (not because Canada is some racism-free utopia, but just because there aren't that many black people in Vancouver, heh).

Except for the whole "paying to have sex with the strippers" thing, yeah. My boy doesn't normally like strip clubs, but he likes the ones here. He says they're less obnoxious.
