hahah. I guess this isn't as much as a surprise for me. But yeah, one of the longstanding axioms of the world is that white people are always better no matter what. Every race and culture has their own internal hierarchy of races. Most will put their own ethnic groups or white people at the top, followed by neighboring ethnic groups, and the with black and brown people placed at below shit-tier. Most halfbreeds of any form are usually sub shit-tier, I'm surprised that half-white are accepted in thai society. This isn't really noticeable in canadian society since everyone's mostly white and hangs out almost exclusively with other whites and whitewashed people.
Well, Southeast Asia has a long tradition of making half-breeds. They don't call it 'Indochina' for nothing, after all -- a lot of Thais are half Indian (or fully Indian), half Chinese... half white is just another link in a long chain of self-hating, ha. Also, like many tropical countries with a history of agriculture and fishing, they revere lighter skin since it means you're rich and can work in an office instead of a field or a fishing boat. If you've got light skin because your dad is Caucasian, you're still beautiful.
