At Best Buy they said it was damaged badly enough that with their equipment, they couldn't do data extraction. If I could possibly get the data off of it using that device, that would be amazing. I'll have to see if the apricorn system will work in this case, thanks for the recommendation. And I'll look into Acronis Drive Monitor too--a little bit of warning would have meant so much in this case.

I'm looking forward to seeing you! The 6th-7th has turned out to be quite the busy weekend for me, but I'll definitely have time to meet up with you during the week. I'll try to get an email to you soon with more details.
