What's wrong with this scenario?

I [Heart] Dishonesty.

  1. Sometime in June: I purchase a safe on eBay, to hold valuables important papers, and whatnot.
  2. A few days later: I realize that safe cannot be opened, and is possibly damaged. I tell the seller.
  3. Another day or two later: After much fuss and repeated explanations, seller agrees to let me ship the safe back and offers an exchange ( Read more... )

Am I totally mistaken or is there not a way of commenting on your experience of ebay as part of the ebay organisation...as I understand it one of the strengths of ebay is that people are very jealous of their good reputations as it is possible for future potential customers to read about the potential sellers track record of reliability.

I already left positive feedback after receiving the item. There's no option to change that feedback once it's been given, so I have no outlet to warn others about what happened once I realized the safe didn't work properly. :-(
