I realized that I introduced myself in the WC_on_LJ thread but not here - what will hopefully be my own journal - d'oh!    ETA: if I recognize you / your name from CC, there's a chance I friended you without saying anything - hope that's ok.  If you'd rather not be friended, just let me know.  Just feeling my way around the etiquette around here - ( Read more... )

Wow, time to go back to work? I can't wait to hear how it is to be back in the world of intelligent adults.

I'm looking forward to getting to know you better, and to hear about how going back to work/pumping works out. I haven't even had my baby yet and I'm already scared about going back to work.

I'm bad about the typos too..so no judgment here. :)

Thanks Jeneca! I hope you're feeling good. You're getting so close - enjoy these last few weeks of pregnancy - they're so special I think - the last few weeks of feeling baby move inside you - it's so cool. I'm sad to say I can't even remember that well anymore.

One week from tomorrow, can let you know how it goes!

Hey! My Dad was an athletic director at a community college- so I can somewhat sympathize with any rants in that direction :)

Good luck on returning to work. I remember how hard it was for me - but just remember, it will get better :)

Hi there! Good luck going back to work. It was a lot easier for me than I anticipated, and I really like being back at work now. Let me know if you need any advice, etc. Although I'm not great at pumping advice - Brooke does not eat from a bottle so I don't bother to pump anymore. Enjoy your last days at home!

Thanks Jo! So what do you do about feeding her during the day? Are you able to go home (or daycare) and feed her? That would be so cool! Thankfully DS takes a bottle ok.

I'm ok with going back to work - and extremely thankful to have off as long as I have - but it's still going to be different. But different can be good. And a paycheck will be great! :)

I do - I go every day at lunch and nurse her. It's really great. Funny though, because I bought every single bottle at Babies R Us to try to get her to take one, and wound up just giving up. She'll take a little if she's really, really hungry, but that's it. That's great that Seth takes the bottle! I love being able to visit Brooke during the day, but there are times when I wish someone else could feed her. Oh well, she will grow up so fast anyway, I just try to enjoy it :-)

Hi! I just saw your comment to Robyn, and it caught my eye, because my DS will not take the bottle either. We tried every kind of nipple, and after a while, I just gave up, because I hated having to listen to DH trying to coax him to take it while DS screamed. Anyway, how old was your daughter when she started daycare? Is going to lunch to nurse working out ok? (Well, it guess it has to, because you have no other choice.) Is that enough for her? I mean, does she get really hungry and upset before you get there?
