Oh Alfred. Leslie. *cries* I can so absolutely see that happening, exactly that way. I do see a younger Alfred as very much like Bruce, determined to put others' happiness ahead of his own, stubbornly faithful to his ideals despite the pain they cause him. I love seeing how he learns those lessons and tries to change Bruce's path a little and mute that pain for him.

So sad and beautiful! I loved it! Thank you so much for this...

I know it's a little bittersweet, but I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Because if someone so stubbornly faithful (to use your words, hee) as Alfred can learn from his mistakes, there's hope for Bruce yet! ;)
