I love arguments.

I've recently been involved in a heated argument with dinnersuck over the belowlinked entry by rougedragon. Thought I'd post a link here as the rest of you wouldn't see it otherwise. At present I reckon Rougie and I win; we've had the last word and dinnersuck hasn't replied for some time. Teehee.

Hi, I clicked your journal after reading your comment to Bethany's last post. I never saw it as a matter of winning or losing, more as a matter of stimulating debate. Your argument was well thought out but in the end we were arguing from the vantage points of two completely different philosophical streams, so I just sort of lost interest and stopped replying. That aside, I hope the link is thought-provoking for anyone who reads it.

I reckon we managed to refute all your arguments pretty conclusively. Yes, it wasn't about winning as such. Yes, the main point was to provoke thought. But what kind of debate is it where there is no winner? Sounds to me like you're trying to claim that just because the horse you're flogging isn't alive doesn't mean that it's dead. Is this your wishy-washy relativism again?
