I was just wondering if anyone in this community was there or saw what happened in person? I watched the video and the video showed that they did not block a fire truck as far as I can tell they stopped and stayed off to the side. In case you are wondering what I am talking about: Read more... )

a real video needs to be released that actually shows what happens. Not some edited video that only shows snippets of things. Until then, nobody can talk

That's why I was asking if anybody was there or actually witnessed it. Quite frankly, nobody but the protesters are going to have a complete video. I mean who else would be taping the whole thing.

The one I keep seeing was posted by a protester that took a video. Its obviously edited. I wonder if the person that took it will release the raw footage.

Who will she release the entire footage to? The tv station isn't going to show 2 hours of film, and it wouldn't be smart to give them the entire thing so they can piece together whichever parts THEY want. I can suggest to her that she release the entire fire truck section but I think they might be planning that for the next special council meeting.

Fire truck or not, you can see them blocking traffic even in this obviously edited video. They had no permit and were marching down the middle of Main St blocking traffic. Even in that video, you see them repeatedly ignoring police. I am not going to say anything about whether the force they used was justified or not because I did not witness it, but they were breaking enough laws that they certainly weren't being arrested for swearing.

I said that because in the video they asked the police officer why that person was being arrested and the POLICE officer said for swearing in public. I posted not to have people get all hot and bothered, but to ask if some outside of the situation witnessed everything. I figured if they were marching down main st. and blocking traffic that there had to be unbiased witnesses. My comments were purely based off the video I watched. I wasn't saying that, that's how it was otherwise I wouldn't have posted asking that question.
