Dec 31, 2004 17:04

So, jadis31 told me recently that I ought to put my time to good use by writing new fic. Then the other day elistaire suggested a HL drabble challenge for New Year. Amazingly, my subconscious wanted to join in, and eventually I had a drabble finished ( Read more... )

Well, it's longer than 100 words, but it will do.
Great fun, nicely assembled, and oh, do I love Mac tuning Methos up now and then.

Happy New Year, to you and yours.

Thank you, on both counts.

Mac isn't allowed to get the better of Methos -- something he's more than capable of -- nearly often enough. It is something I like to see, though.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the story.

Just saw this, and loved it, but have to dash away. I will leave a more coherent comment later this evening. Happy New Year!

I'm so happy you liked it, especially as I wouldn't have written anything without your challenge. Thank you for giving me the idea in the first place!

Now I need to go back and work on my drabble technique...

OK, back with a little more leisure to comment at length. This is absolutely wonderful, and had I been around to beta it, my duties would have consisted of saying things like, "Love it! Publish it as is!" I adored it from the beginning, with Methos allowing MacLeod to persuade him for two days ( ... )

Thank you so much for the (as you might guess, much needed and appreciated) reassurance. I wasn't a million miles away from holding onto this for rewriting purposes for another year, so I'm very glad you thought it worked.

I just had a quick look over it again and two -- TWO! -- hitherto invisible typos leapt up and smacked me on the nose. Why do these things seem so obvious after the event? I'm off to correct them now. Hope you had a good New Year after your ridiculously busy December.

Oh my God! I can't read this right now, but we are planning on reading this tonight, after we're back from the drag bar. This is so exciting! Wow!

And HAPPY NEW YEAR! I LOVE YOU! I wish you all, all, ALL the best.

*many happy hugs*

You're obviously having a fab time, which pleases me enormously! I hope your celebrations were fun and that this year is your best ever. Did you and Katie dress up, or were you just going along to watch?

I love you too -- *HUGE hugs*!!

Oh, oh, oh, it's wonderful! I just got to reading it - thank you so much for posting this! This is great. Wow. So cute. I love grumpy!Methos. Awww, yay.

And thank you, on the whole. :) You're definitely one of those people that have made this year oodles better. I'm sure there's a better word than 'oodles' but it's way too early for me to think of it.

Much, much love,
Mwah!
